Negar Mojtahedi is a multi-platform journalist with Iran International English, where she hosts the weekly podcast and television program Eye for Iran, featuring compelling interviews, expert analysis, and high-impact investigations into the latest developments in and around Iran. She also writes in-depth reports, exclusive investigations, and longform analysis for Iran International’s English digital and broadcast platforms, covering Iranian politics, protests, human rights, sanctions networks, and regional geopolitics.
She previously worked as a reporter and producer at Global News / Global National, CBC News, and CTV News in Canada. She is also an investigative reporter who broke the story on Iranian regime interference in Canada, exposing regime-linked affiliates operating in the country and threats against Iranian Canadians. Her reporting pushed for answers and accountability on this national security issue from Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

She is an award-winning documentary filmmaker whose first documentary, My Dream Goes All the Way to Iran, offers a powerful portrait of the Iranian expatriate experience—an immigrant community often misunderstood and misrepresented.
Her work has also been recognized internationally: she received the Transatlantic Leadership Network’s Freedom of the Media Award for Excellence in International Reporting in Washington, DC, honoring both her work on Eye for Iran and her investigative reporting for Iran International. Above all, Negar believes the heart of every story is emotion.
