Note that Saudi Arabia has so far kept its public response to the attack remarkably limited. My assessment is that Riyadh wants to first exhaust the Chinese channel and encourage Beijing to pressure #Iran.

This amounts to a declaration of war by the Houthis against Saudi Arabia. A response is likely and things could escalate from there. There is a significant possibility of a full resumption of the Yemen war. Iran has finally played its Houthi card to try to spike oil prices.

ההסלמה בים האדום - תמונת מצב. מול חוף אלשקיק נפגעה לפחות מיכלית נפט אחת ששייכת לחברה סעודית. לא ברור לי האם המיכלית היתה בדרכה לסין, משום שכמדווח ביום שלישי שבו על עקבותיהן שתי מיכליות נפט סיניות ענקיות מחשש שיותקפו. יש להניח שסין העבירה מסר לאירן בעניין.
