Mohammed Najib, -53 years-is, a Palestinian defense correspondent and analyst journalist from Ramallah, West Bank. For 33 years, has reported on developments in the Middle East region, working for leading newspapers, including Janes Information Group.
His writing credits also include the ‘Global Security and Intelligence’ book published by Praeger Security International and ‘Entry-point to Palestinian Security Sector Reform’ in mid-2007 by the Geneva Center for the Democratic Control of Armed Forces DCAF.
A speaker for several public-diplomacy activities and addressed several security conferences.
Fluent in four languages; Arabic, English, French, and Hebrew
Joined “Janes Information Group” in April 2001 and wrote for several of Jane’s publications about Defense, Intelligence, Strategic Affairs, Islamic Groups, Counter-Terrorism, Country Risk, and Organized Crime.
Has a professional journalism degree in Written Journalism from Bir Zeit University and a B.A. in English Literature from Al-Quds University. He was born in Ramallah, Palestine, in 1969.
In April 2014, he was elected to the board members of the Foreign Press Association FPA and re-elected for the recent eight years for the board position.
