Information on Fall 2018 North American Lecture Tour – The Middle East 2019 ~ Approaching A Watershed

2019 will mark a critical milestone in one of the most significant geostrategic developments in the Middle East. And therefore, I am beginning to put my schedule in place for my 2018 Fall Lecture Tour, November 5th through December 12th – entitled:
The Middle East 2019 ~ Approaching A Watershed
Since the Iranian Mullah regime seized power in Iran in 1979, their goal has been to become the regional superpower. Over the last decade, Iran has increased – and quite successfully – its attempt to establish its crescent of influence, described by King Abdullah II of Jordanian as “The Shiite Crescent.” The Iranian regime has stated that their policy to build and control a land corridor stretching from Iran to the Mediterranean Sea is “vital for Iran’s strategic interest and national security.” Due to regional and global events, Iran’s Corridor – which would ensure constant instability and increased bloodshed – was a foregone conclusion. And that development, as the King of Jordan warned – is very bad news for the region. And I will add – especially Israel.  However, as we exit 2018 and enter 2019, regional and global developments may result in a change of course and the process of Iranian expansion – once thought inevitable – might actually be curtailed.
What has generated this change? Who are the major players in this unfolding, dynamic, and pivotal episode and what do they want? Can we “rest easy”? And if so – for how long? How would preventing this corridor impact the rapidly changing political map of the Middle East? How would the reduction in Iranian power impact Israel’s geopolitical horizons?
Alongside all my other topics (please click here for suggested topics), this is one of the issues I am most excited to explore, and I am looking forward to sharing my observations, perspectives, analysis and predictions.
The task of education is at the heart of today’s public discourse. In that context I would also be honored to integrate into my presentation – should it be relevant, my Inside the Middle East: Intelligence Perspectives (ITME) Praxis, a methodology that equips motivated students and practitioners with non-partisan historical and holistic knowledge of the Middle East, the professional intelligence analysis techniques and media assessment tools to independently and accurately decipher the Middle East, and the predictive skills to foresee the direction of future events. The goal of ITME is to ensure that the next generation of influencers have the lenses to view and the tools to build an accurate interpretation of a complex reality to impact effective policy. I am proud of my record of precise analysis and accurate predictions regarding future events in the region. Through the ITME praxis, I equip my students with the same skillset, toolbox, ethics and values which have served me for decades.
